On 17 February 2026 Ambassador was invited by Suriname American Industries Ltd. ( SAIL N.V )to tour their facility and engage in discussions on potential collaboration in the field of fisheries and fish processing. The visit provided an opportunity to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation between Suriname and India, particularly in advancing technology transfer, sustainable practices, capacity building and value-added processing in the fisheries sector.
