Ambassador on 13 February 2026 welcomed Mr. Quincy Joemai, Director of Suriname Pharmaceutical Supply Company (BGVS), along with his team.The meeting explored possibilities of sourcing medicines and consumables from India. Ambassador also briefed them on India’s Jan Aushadhi Scheme, providing quality medicines at affordable prices and discussed its potential replication in Suriname.This dialogue highlights the growing scope for India–Suriname cooperation in the health sector, aimed at ensuring accessible and affordable healthcare solutions.
