Ambassador was received by the District Commissioner of Nickerie, Smt. Senrita Gobardhan in her office on 31 August 2024 and held discussions on a wide range of topics, inter alia, cultural connects of Indian Diaspora in Nickerie, the ongoing development partnership projects and their status of implementation. He also held a brief meeting with Hon’ble Smt. Niesha Jhakry, a Member of the National Assembly from Nickerie. Later, he visited DC Robles Plein, where a Quick Impact Project to create a recreational facility for the community is under implementation. Ambassador also shared his views on India-Suriname relations with the local Rasonic media
