The Embassy of India participates in the Suriname Food and Tourism 2025, held from 5 to 7 November in Paramaribo by mounting an Indian stall showcasing rich tourism offerings, with special emphasis on Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, which are deeply connected to the ancestral roots of the Indo-Surinamese community. Visitors explored India’s cultural heritage, culinary diversity, and the essence of Ayurveda through an engaging display of spices and traditional food ingredients. Suriname’s Vice President, the Minister of Transport, communication, and Tourism, and the Minister of Economy visited the Indian stall. This participation reflects the enduring bonds between India and Suriname and our shared commitment to promoting heritage, tourism, and people-to-people ties
