On 5 December 2024, High Commissioner, Subhash Gupta, accompanied by Ms. Simran, US(DPA-III) from the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and NABCONS (NABARD Consultancy - implementation partner), COO Dr. Haragopal Yandra, visited Barbados to lead discussions relating to a Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) project. During the tour, the delegation visited Export Barbados and held consultations with CEO of Export Barbados, Mr. Mark Hill and the team. The Barbadian side also organized a site visit for the delegation to assess the project's viability and gather necessary inputs for its development. As part of the assessment tour, the delegation visited the International Food Science Center facility. The proposed USD 1 million project funded by India, will be utilized to provide machinery to boost agricultural development through value addition in partner countries like Barbados.
