The Embassy celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga at Arya Diwakar Hall, Paramaribo. The event was graced by Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Melvin Bouva, parliamentarians, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, diaspora, and friends of India. Over 300 participants joined the Common Yoga Protocol session, followed by a vibrant yoga dance and cultural performances. Hon. Minister Bouva and Ambassador highlighted yoga’s role in connecting cultures and promoting healthy living, with this year’s theme: “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” Heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and participants for making IDY 2026 a success. The celebration also extended to Barbados and Saint Lucia, spreading yoga’s universal message across the region.
