The Embassy of India participates in the Suriname Food and Tourism 2025, held from 5 to 7 November in Paramaribo by mounting an Indian stall showcasing rich tourism offerings, with special emphasis on Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, which are deeply connected to the ancestral roots of the Indo-Surinamese community.
Visitors explored India’s cultural heritage, culinary diversity, and the essence of Ayurveda through an engaging display of spices and traditional food ingredients.

0n 31 October, to commemorate National Unity Day (Rastriya Ekta Divas) and to pay tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Patel, the Embassy celebrated the Festival of Unity at SVCC with an evening that radiated the spirit of India’s dance tradition. Ambassador underscored the contribution of Sardar Patel in the unification of India. He added that “Unity in Diversity” is deeply embedded in India's ethos, quoting the Rigvedic shloka "Ekam satya vipra bahudha vadanti," that means truth is one; sages call it by many names.
